What kind of Ibogaine your looking for depends on what your uses are. All doses are determined on a patient by patient basis. Doses of ibogaine or total alkaloid extract of Tabernanthe iboga should not be used by persons without experience. Most doses fall in the 15mg/kg - 20mg/kg dose range to reach full therapeutic effects.
It has been reported by some researchers that lower doses are effective but, this has been disputed.
In most cases opioid withdrawal signs will be reduced within 45 minutes of ibogaine administration. Ibogaine is usually administered in place of what would be the next scheduled dose of narcotics. This would provide for an ibogaine administration schedule 8 hours after the last dose of heroin, morphine or demerol and 24 hours after the last dose of methadone. It is expected that the patient would be exhibiting minor withdrawal signs at the time of ibogaine administration.
A significantly high dose methadone dependence may require a dose of Ibogaine in the 19-20 mg range with a possible need for an additional small supplemental dose a few days later.
The dosage for a psychotherapeutic session is within a range of 10-17 mgs/k.
